A week in Croatia

Last August, my friends and I traveled to a small island in Croatia for a week-long holiday. We rented a simple apartment near the sea with a beautiful balcony overlooking the harbor. Every morning, we woke up early because the weather became very hot later in the day. During the mornings, we usually went swimming or explored nearby beaches. One day, we rented bicycles and visited a tiny village in the mountains. The roads were difficult, but the view from the top was absolutely incredible. In the evenings, the town became very lively. People walked along the streets, musicians played outside restaurants, and the smell of grilled fish filled the air. We often stayed outside until midnight talking, laughing, and enjoying the warm summer nights. On our final evening, we watched the sunset from the harbor while eating ice cream. None of us wanted the holiday to end.
