Canceled flight in Spain

During a trip to Spain last summer, I experienced one of the most stressful travel situations of my life. My friend and I arrived at the airport very early in the morning because our flight was scheduled for 6:15. Everything seemed normal until we looked at the departure board and noticed that our flight had suddenly been canceled because of bad weather. Hundreds of people immediately started standing in long lines near the information desk. Some travelers became angry and began arguing with airport employees, while others tried to quickly book different flights online. At first, we had no idea what to do. After waiting almost two hours, we finally spoke to an airport worker who helped us find another flight for the next day. Unfortunately, we also discovered that our luggage had already been placed on the original airplane. In the end, we spent the entire day at the airport eating expensive sandwiches, charging our phones, and trying not to panic. Even though the situation was stressful, it later became one of the funniest stories from our trip.
